Union Market is looking to hire reliable, motivated, and experienced line cooks to join our culinary team to gear up for the busy season! Starting hourly rate between $15-$17, PLUS significant tip share (additional $4-5/hour on average). Typical shifts are 8am-3:30 pm, or 2:30pm- 10:30pm - no late nights or super early mornings!
Responsibilities:
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency and quality of food
- Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, and dicing using knives and other kitchen tools
- Handle and store food safely to prevent contamination and ensure freshness
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or kitchen environment (2 years min)
- Knowledge of basic culinary techniques and food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time complete basic physical tasks
