Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools to uphold health and safety standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning items
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, including counters, sinks, and storage areas
- Support catering and banquet setups by organizing serving ware and ensuring timely delivery of prepared food items
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality in all food-related activities
- Help with bussing tables and clearing dishes during service to support smooth restaurant operations
- Adhere to sanitation guidelines and safety protocols at all times to promote a healthy work environment
Skills
- Experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments preferred
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to perform cleaning duties efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with food preparation techniques are a plus
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to support kitchen staff during busy periods
- Previous banquet or catering experience is advantageous but not required
