Established (40+ Years) Premier AmLaw 200 Full-Service Firm Seeking Associate Attorney for Intellectual Property Litigation in Irvine, Cerritos, or Pasadena, CA
An established California-based AmLaw 200 full-service law firm with over 40 years in practice is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-5+ years of intellectual property litigation experience to join their team in Irvine, Cerritos, or Pasadena, CA. This role supports a growing docket of patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret litigation, along with USPTO administrative proceedings, offering meaningful federal court exposure and substantive responsibility. The position is ideal for an attorney seeking to broaden a versatile IP practice within a collaborative, multi-office platform.

Salary range: $170,000-$215,000+, contingent on experience

Qualifications:
2-5+ years of experience handling intellectual property litigation matters
Experience with trademark, patent, copyright, or trade secret litigation in federal court, with USPTO or ITC experience considered a plus
Familiarity with USPTO administrative proceedings, including trademark opposition, cancellation proceedings, and IPRs, considered a plus
Exposure to general business, commercial, or employment litigation considered a plus
Admission to the California Bar in good standing
Skill in conducting and defending depositions and handling law and motion work
Experience preparing and responding to written discovery and managing e-discovery and document review
Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
Ability to work collaboratively across a multi-office environment
Responsibilities:
Handle intellectual property litigation matters in federal court, including patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret disputes
Provide general IP-related advice and counsel
Conduct document and data reviews and manage e-discovery
Prepare and respond to written discovery requests
Conduct and defend depositions
Handle law and motion work and argue substantive motions at court hearings
Participate in arbitration and trial proceedings
Prepare trademark, copyright, and patent applications and respond to office actions
Handle USPTO administrative proceedings, including opposition, cancellation, and IPR matters
