Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic RBT/BT Applied Behavior Analysis Therapist to join our team in providing high-quality behavioral support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders. In this role, you will work directly with children and young adults, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. Your efforts will help clients develop essential life skills, improve behavior management, and enhance their overall quality of life. Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor personalized care plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), focusing on skill development and behavior reduction.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and hygiene routines, promoting independence.
- Collect and record accurate data on client behaviors, progress toward goals, and intervention effectiveness to inform ongoing treatment strategies.
- Use evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques to support children with autism and neurodevelopmental disorders in various settings, including home-based environments.
- Support clients in social skills development, communication, and behavior management through engaging teaching methods.
- Maintain confidentiality of medical records and adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure client privacy and data security.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency in care and support for clients’ needs.
Skills
- Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques for children with autism spectrum disorders.
- Experience assisting with ADLs and supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Proficiency in data collection methods and medical documentation to track client progress accurately.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and medical records management related to behavioral health services.
- Ability to work effectively with children in various settings, demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism.
- Familiarity with special education practices and behavior management strategies tailored for young learners.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, team members, and other professionals involved in client care.
