The School Gourmet is seeking motivated, dependable Kitchen Team Members to join our Central Kitchen in Conyers, Georgia. As one of Georgia's growing school nutrition providers, we're currently hiring 20+ positions across our company, with additional opportunities opening throughout the Atlanta area.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and portion large batches of fresh meals following standardized recipes
- Wash, chop, prep, and organize ingredients for daily production
- Maintain the highest food safety and sanitation standards
- Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Package and label meals for delivery to schools
- Assist with receiving deliveries, stocking inventory, and maintaining an organized kitchen
- Work closely with the production team to meet daily deadlines
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment
Qualifications
- Previous commercial kitchen, prep cook, cafeteria, restaurant, or food production experience preferred
- ServSafe Certification strongly preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with high-volume food production is highly valued
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and production schedules
- Dependable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Passion for preparing nutritious, high-quality meals
