Dover Food Retail is seeking a Manufacturing Material Coordinator (Validation) to support our 2nd shift production operations. In this role, you will help ensure materials, packaging components, and inventory are properly sequenced, validated, and available to keep manufacturing operations running efficiently.
This position is ideal for individuals with experience in manufacturing, inventory control, material handling, production support, warehouse operations, assembly, or supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and verify material sequencing with Production Leads and Material Handling teams.
- Confirm quantities of components supplied to the assembly lines and reconcile quantities returned at the completion of production orders.
- Validate materials, packaging components, and lot numbers on the production floor.
- Identify and escalate material shortages to ensure timely resolution.
- Support inventory accuracy and material flow throughout the manufacturing process.
- Move materials and packaging components to and from final assembly and packaging lines.
- Remove unused materials from completed orders and prepare lines for upcoming production runs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following 5S principles.
- Work collaboratively with associates, leads, supervisors, and managers to support production goals and customer requirements.
Qualifications
Required
- Ability to read Bills of Material (BOMs) and routings.
- Understanding of material flow, inventory control, and production demand.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, material handling, inventory control, warehouse operations, production coordination, assembly support, or supply chain.
- Experience with ERP or MRP systems.
- Knowledge of inventory management, cycle counting, and production scheduling.
- Experience supporting assembly or packaging operations.
Ideal Backgrounds
Candidates with experience as a Material Coordinator, Inventory Control Specialist, Production Coordinator, Warehouse Lead, Material Handler, Kitting Specialist, Supply Chain Associate, Assembly Support Associate, or Manufacturing Associate are encouraged to apply.
