American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures for a 13-week travel contract.

Work in a cardiac cath lab with 3 procedure rooms and one hybrid OR
-
Procedures include cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, rotablator atherectomy, temporary pacemaker placement, and ventricular assist device insertion

Preferred procedures include OCT, PA line insertion, TAVR/TAVI, and Watchman

Uses Siemens imaging equipment and fluoroscopy

EMR: Epic (required) and McKesson; medication management via Pyxis
-
4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
-
On-call required, typically 6 evenings and one weekend per 6-week period; must be available to respond within 30 minutes of callback

Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state

Minimum 2 years of experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings (required)

Experience in special procedures preferred

Epic EMR experience required

Proficiency with fluoroscopy and Siemens equipment required

Required procedural skills include accurate monitoring, equipment setup, EKG lead placement, access site prep, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, room circulation, scrubbing/maintaining sterile field, and use of vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)

Knowledge of isolation precautions required; familiarity with rapid response team protocols preferred

License required if applicable

Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting

SSN and DOB required for consideration

First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Permanent candidates from non-Swedish Providence facilities are eligible for a travel contract after a 3-month separation; all Swedish facilities honor an active compact license

Refusing to float between facilities within the state may result in termination of assignment
-
Minimal RTO is expected for this role; requests should be addressed prior to or at the time of submission, as post-offer requests may be denied
