Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in a vibrant café environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and food preparation, with a keen interest in coffee and beverage crafting. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating high-quality beverages, providing exceptional service to our customers, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and cash handling.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met during food preparation and serving.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas.
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting any shortages to management.
- Utilize time management skills to efficiently handle multiple orders during peak hours while ensuring quality service.
- Demonstrate knowledge of retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
Requirements
- Previous barista or coffee experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming environment for guests.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods.
