Join Casey's Distribution Center Asset Protection team as an Inventory Control Specialist! In this role, you'll conduct inventory counts and audits of Casey's inventory at the Terre Haute Distribution Center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cycle counts of inventory items in the distribution center. Communicates results of counts to warehouse supervisor and shift supervisor.
- Support others by carrying out routine inventory tasks following established procedures. Report areas of concern to DC Senior Inventory Control Specialist.
- Complete periodic audits of outbound orders and receipts.
- Collect expiration data for FEFO SKUs from the pick and backstock locations. Report the dates to the team lead for further action.
- Support AP staff in total loss investigations via count documentation and observations.
- Help the department achieve total loss goals.
Compensation:
Starting pay range: $16.75 - $22.00. Actual pay may vary based on Casey's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience or general understanding of operation and function of inventory calculators, scanners, and computers.
- Strong interpersonal skills, solid organization, and time management skills.
- Work is primarily performed in a warehouse office and production setting, to include freezer and cooler areas.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume area with numerous people and background noise.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, standing for long periods of time, regular bending, squatting, stooping and kneeling.
