Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your responsibilities will include managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements while providing outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and walk-in guests efficiently to optimize seating.
- Maintain an organized waiting list and communicate wait times accurately.
- Answer phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, assisting with inquiries and reservations.
- Collaborate with the restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Provide information about menu items and restaurant policies to guests.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in guest relations or customer service, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Familiarity with POS systems; experience with Aloha POS is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A friendly demeanor with a passion for helping others and providing excellent service.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
