Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) position located in a pediatric-focused facility in Colorado Springs offers a 13-week assignment from September 8, 2026, to December 8, 2026. This role involves providing respiratory care to a diverse patient population, including neonatal and pediatric cases, with a focus on collaborative and multidisciplinary teamwork in a small unit environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-Hour Nights (6:30 PM 7:00 AM) with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Cardiopulmonary; minimum 2 years of pediatric experience, with at least 2 years of NICU (Level III or IV) experience; 2 years of emergency department experience; valid licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
- Preferred Qualifications: Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty (NPS) certification; strong pediatric background; prior travel experience; team-oriented attitude with a willingness to educate and support colleagues and students.
- Travel: Travel is required for this assignment.
- Additional Information: The environment is a small unit with a broad skill mix, and collaboration across disciplines is essential. The candidate must be comfortable floating and supporting where needed, with experience in pediatric and NICU settings. RTO is not allowed during the first two weeks, and seasonal influenza vaccination is required unless a medical or religious exemption is provided with the appropriate exemption form.
