Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising products, and maintaining organized displays to maximize sales potential
- Handle retail math accurately for transactions, refunds, and inventory counts
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
- Support supervising staff by overseeing daily store operations and ensuring adherence to company policies
- Able to lift 50+ pounds safely
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery or specialty stores
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail math calculations is highly advantageous
- Bilingual skills are a plus, enabling effective communication with diverse customer groups
- Experience in supervising or leading team members enhances leadership capabilities
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product knowledge to assist customers effectively
- Strong communication skills combined with excellent customer service orientation
- Prior experience in grocery store environments or similar fast-paced retail settings is beneficial
