Job Summary
The Personal Training Coach ensures that PG Fit, LLC delivers a high-quality health and fitness experience to the overall client base.
- Coach and service clients to help them reach their health and fitness goals
- Consult with client base on the five fundamentals of health and fitness.
- Assist with the development of program design for group and personal training programs.
- Responsible for the successful attainment of targets, including revenue and client retention
- Assist with operational responsibilities, including but not limited to opening/closing shift duties, overall cleanliness and general maintenance of gym and lead generation activities
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of Fitness Fundamental Training and dotFit Nutrition Programs including program software
- Knowledge of personal training concepts and program design
- Experience in coaching / motivating groups
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to generate, maintain & demonstrate a friendly, enthusiastic & positive attitude
- Possesses a strong client service focus. Responds professionally to requests and inquires from guests, members and staff
- Research and writing skills
Certifications / Education level:
- AED and CPR certification
- Preferred: degree in fitness or nutrition sciences
- CPT certification and/or national certification through NSCA or NASM
Experience:
- experience in retail/service industry
- Preferred: 1-2 years of experience in the health and fitness industry
- Preferred: consultative sales experience
- Preferred: research and writing experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in gym environment; move about gym floor
- Occasionally required to demonstrate or explain proper physical fitness activities, techniques, and procedures
- Regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to communicate effectively on the phone with clients and non-members
- Ability to access and operate computer systems
Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, regularly exposed to moving fitness equipment parts
- The noise level in the environment is occasionally loud
- Extended workdays are a frequent occurrence, as are weekends and holidays as needed to support the business
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship
Pay: $25,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 45 per week
