Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and safety standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors efficiently and safely
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict sanitation protocols
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient preparation and dish presentation
- Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed to uphold food safety regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service
- Follow recipe adherence and portion control guidelines to deliver consistent quality in every dish
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or culinary environments is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety management and proper food handling procedures
- Skilled in knife techniques, slicing methods, and general food preparation skills
- Experience operating various kitchen equipment with safety awareness
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with kitchen team members
- Familiarity with dietary department standards and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail
