Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols.
- Use vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and polishing tools to maintain pristine conditions across all assigned areas.
- Manage heavy lifting tasks when moving furniture or cleaning equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest and staff safety at all times.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, supply usage, and sanitation procedures for accountability and quality control.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest requests promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive experience during their stay.
Requirements
- Proven hotel housekeeping or janitorial experience with a strong understanding of industrial cleaning standards.
- Skilled in floor care techniques including floor cleaning, maintenance, and use of specialized equipment.
- Knowledgeable in sanitation practices and safe handling of chemical agents used in cleaning processes.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and moving furniture safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems and custodial procedures is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to ensure thorough cleanliness across all areas.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude that enhances guest satisfaction.
