Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Office Manager to lead the administrative and financial operations at The Green House Homes at Mirasol. This pivotal role combines strategic oversight with hands-on management of billing, coding, payroll, and compliance processes. As a key member of the leadership team, you will ensure smooth operational workflows, foster a positive environment for residents and staff, and uphold the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Oversee all business office functions including billing, collections, and oversight of accounts payable/receivable to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage resident financial records, including Medicaid/Medicare billing, private pay accounts, and insurance claims with meticulous attention to detail.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to verify resident admissions, discharges, and financial eligibility requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to healthcare billing and financial reporting.
- Supervise administrative staff by providing training, guidance, and performance feedback to foster a motivated team environment.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare financial reports that support operational decision-making.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in billing cycles, collections, and overall business office operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing business office functions within a healthcare or long-term care setting.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, insurance billing procedures, and healthcare regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail in financial documentation.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and external agencies.
- Proficiency in accounting software systems and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills to clearly convey complex information across diverse audiences.
