Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in managing transport schedules, optimizing fleet operations, and ensuring seamless coordination between dispatch, medical personnel, and healthcare facilities. General Responsibilities:
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching non-emergency medical transportation services. You will play a critical role in ensuring timely and efficient patient transport, maintaining communication with drivers and clients, and handling logistical challenges as they arise. This role requires strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, proficiency with computers and software, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and dispatch drivers to transport patients to and from medical facilities and appointments.
- Communicate effectively with field staff including drivers and assistants and call center agents to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor and track vehicle locations in real time to ensure on-time performance.
- Manage last-minute scheduling changes and emergencies with a problem-solving mindset.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, schedules, and communications using dispatch software.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, or complaints in a courteous manner.
Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree preferred; additional education in logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in dispatching, logistics, or a related role (experience in medical transport preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in using dispatch software, GPS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- The ability to remain calm and make decisions quickly in high-pressure situations.
- Familiarity with the Orlando area and surrounding regions is a plus.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays as needed.
