Position Summary
The Install Technician is responsible for installing, starting up, and testing residential HVAC systems while delivering a high level of customer service. This role requires strong technical ability, clear communication, and the ability to think through layout or equipment problems before escalating them. You will be expected to complete all job documentation, follow company processes consistently, and ensure all systems are installed correctly and fully operational before leaving each job site.
What Success Looks Like (Outcomes)
- Precision: Jobs are installed correctly the first time, reducing callbacks.
- Documentation: ServiceTitan job notes are thorough and accurate before leaving every site.
- Resourcefulness: Problems are worked through independently using available resources (manuals, training, past jobs) before asking for assistance.
- The 1-3-1 Rule: When help is needed, you provide: 1 Problem, 3 Possible Solutions, and 1 Recommended Solution.
- Consistency: Company installation checklists and processes are followed on every visit.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Installation Work: Install residential HVAC systems (furnaces, condensers, air handlers, ductwork) and ensure all work meets company quality standards and local codes.
- Problem Solving: Apply previous training and knowledge to new situations; think through problems before escalating.
- ServiceTitan & Technology: Complete all job notes and required forms before leaving the site. Upload all required photos to CompanyCam.
- Communication: Provide clear updates to the Install Manager and office regarding job status, progress, or issues.
- Customer Experience: Maintain a clean, professional appearance, keep the job site spotless, and represent the company with respect and professionalism at all times.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Licensing: Active Connecticut HVAC Occupational License (S-1, S-2, D-1, or D-2).
- Certification: EPA Section 608 Certification (Type II or Universal).
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency with ServiceTitan and CompanyCam is a plus.
- Mindset: A willingness to learn, a high attention to detail, and a commitment to keeping a clean, organized job site and company vehicle.

- Base Salary: $40-$50 per hour
- Working Hours: M-F 8a-4:30p
