Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of menu items to enhance the dining experience
- Accurately take food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Manage table settings, clear dishes, bussing tables efficiently, and assist with sanitation to uphold food safety standards
- Upsell menu items and beverages to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems, process payments, and provide correct change or receipts
- Maintain knowledge of restaurant offerings including wine lists, specials, and dietary options to assist guests effectively
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with fine dining or nightclub exposure preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle guest inquiries professionally
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for efficient order processing
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest engagement
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and bill splitting accurately
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus but not required
- Strong communication skills paired with a friendly attitude to foster guest relations and team collaboration
