About Mic Drop
Mic Drop Karaoke is redefining nightlife by creating unforgettable private karaoke experiences for groups of friends, companies, and celebrations. We’re looking for an entrepreneurial sales professional who can build and own our corporate and group events business, developing long-term relationships that drive weekday and large-format bookings.
This is a high-impact, revenue-generating role for someone who enjoys networking, prospecting, and closing deals. Success will be measured by one thing: bringing great groups through our doors.
Key Responsibilities
- Own all outbound corporate and group event sales.
- Develop relationships with executive assistants, office managers, HR teams, event planners, DMCs, concierge teams, hotels, production companies, and local businesses.
- Prospect daily through email, phone, LinkedIn, networking, and in-person outreach.
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools.
- Generate corporate happy hours, team-building events, client entertainment, holiday parties, birthdays, networking events, and buyouts.
- Respond quickly to inbound event inquiries and convert leads into bookings.
- Conduct venue tours and host prospective clients.
- Partner with Operations to ensure flawless execution of booked events.
- Work closely with Marketing to develop campaigns that generate qualified leads.
- Attend networking events, chamber events, and local business functions representing Mic Drop.
- Maintain relationships with repeat clients to maximize recurring business.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue goals.
Ideal Candidate
- 3+ years in corporate event sales, hospitality sales, venue sales, hotel sales, catering sales, or experiential events.
- Existing network of corporate clients, event planners, executive assistants, HR professionals, or local businesses is highly preferred.
- Self-starter who enjoys building business rather than waiting for inbound leads.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and highly accountable.
- Passionate about hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
Compensation
The compensation structure is designed to reward results.
Base Salary
- Flexible based on experience and whether the role is part-time or full-time.
Commission
- Uncapped commission on qualifying room revenue generated through self-sourced bookings.
- Higher commission percentage on room rental revenue than food & beverage sales.
- Additional performance bonuses may be available for achieving quarterly revenue targets.
Top performers should have the opportunity to earn substantially above their base salary.
