Responsibilities
- Develop accurate 3D models and detailed construction drawings using Revit and other CAD software such as AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and Rhinoceros 3D.
- Create comprehensive schematics, construction details, and system designs that meet project specifications and building code requirements.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to translate design concepts into precise technical drawings.
- Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools to streamline project workflows and ensure building code compliance throughout all phases of design.
- Assist in the review of design documents for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to client standards.
- Prepare presentation graphics using graphic design tools and 2D animation techniques to visualize architectural ideas effectively.
- Support construction detail documentation efforts by producing clear, detailed drawings that facilitate smooth on-site execution.
Skills
- Proficiency in Revit is essential; experience with SketchUp, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Grasshopper 3D, Rhinoceros 3D, Bluebeam, and 3ds Max is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of CAD software including AutoCAD and other engineering CAD design tools.
- Expertise in 3D CAD modeling and building information modeling (BIM) for efficient project delivery.
- Solid understanding of construction detail documentation and building code analysis to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Experience with system design for architectural or mechanical applications; familiarity with interior design and mechanical design is a plus.
- Ability to perform construction experience tasks such as site visits, field measurements, and reviewing construction progress.
- Excellent drafting skills combined with a keen eye for detail; capable of producing high-quality schematics and technical drawings.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary teams while maintaining project momentum.
