Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using safe handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling practices
- Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to track patient health status accurately
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support
- Facilitate patient transfers using appropriate methods like patient transfer techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with aseptic techniques during procedures like catheter care when applicable
Experience
- Long-term care facility experience or nursing home background provides valuable skills in geriatric and dementia care
- Knowledge of Point Click Care EMR system.
- Paid CPR is offered.
- Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques supports safe patient interactions across all settings
