Duties
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory control
- Lead, motivate, and supervise retail staff to achieve sales goals and deliver excellent customer service
- Oversee employee orientation, training & development to ensure team members are knowledgeable about products and policies
- Conduct interviewing and recruiting processes to build a strong, capable sales team aligned with company standards
- Manage inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment, merchandising, purchasing, and pricing adjustments
- Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions, sales tracking, and reporting; ensure accurate cash handling and bookkeeping
- Implement operational management strategies including scheduling shifts, budgeting, and store maintenance to maximize efficiency
Experience
- Proven supervisory or assistant manager experience within the retail industry with a focus on sales team management
- Strong knowledge of retail math including pricing strategies, sales management, and inventory control techniques
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, customer service excellence, and managerial communication
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic bookkeeping practices
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly valued for effective communication with diverse customer bases
- Familiarity with grocery store or wireless sales environments is a plus but not required
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while managing multiple responsibilities
