Summary:
The Senior Electrical Engineer provides technical expertise and project engineering as required to lead the Design Division Construction operations. The position will be responsible for the electrical project development, design, procurement, and startup of various construction projects within the Design Division. This position will require 5% or less travel and the ability to manage multiple projects. This engineer will have a direct impact on safety, reliability, cost reduction, and process improvement for our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Participate in " Kick Off" meetings to gain an understanding of the scope of work and project goals.
· Provide routine updates to the design team and/or management on issues and concerns as they arise.
· Ability to work with management to set and achieve goals based on the client' s priorities and project objectives.
· Support internal and external customers.
· Ability to work as part of a design team as well as independently.
· Prepare or direct development of design documentation including drawings, calculations, specifications, reports, etc.
· Apply standard engineering design principles and methodologies as well as applicable codes in the preparation of construction documents.
· Prepare or direct development of specifications, working drawings, instructions, and other related documents.
· Maintain complete and orderly project files and documentation.
· Perform design reviews as part of the QC process. Ensure that production of drawings, specifications, reports, and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost and quality requirements, make revisions and changes as recommended/needed.
· Working knowledge in identifying and applying NEC requirements that affect Industrial and Construction Installations
· Estimating Construction Costs – ability to take Project Scope Documents and develop cost for Electrical Equipment, Electrical Materials and Electrical Labor Costs
· Scheduling and Monitoring of Engineering and Construction activities
· Bid Package Preparation – ability to generate and assemble specifications, drawings, standards and compliance documents required for Construction Project Bidding
Required Skills and Abilities:
· Strong aptitude in engineering design.
· Ability to visit job sites locally.
· Proficient in AutoCAD, must be able to generate Electrical Plans, Schematics, Interconnection drawings and Single Lines.
· Proficient in REVIT, BIM360, Microsoft Office.
· Well developed, detail oriented, organizational skills.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor' s degree in applicable discipline and Professional Engineer (PE) designation
· Minimum of 8 years leading electrical construction design from concept to construction.
· Electrical Proficiency: Power Distribution, System Grounding, Lighting Systems, Motor Controls, Variable Frequency Drives, Engineering and Construction Scope definition and Cost Estimating.
· Experience leading cross-disciplinary design teams and the ability to mentor junior engineers and designers to help them advance their technical skills.

Pay: $105,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
