Titletown Manufacturing is looking for a detail-oriented Production & Purchasing Coordinator to join our growing team. In this role, you'll process and manage manufacturing jobs through our JobBOSS ERP system, coordinate production requirements, create purchase orders, and order materials and outside services to ensure jobs are properly prepared and materials are available when needed.
This position is ideal for someone with manufacturing or job shop experience who is highly organized, has excellent computer skills, enjoys coordinating multiple priorities, and takes pride in making sure the details are handled correctly.
Responsibilities
- Review and process customer jobs through the JobBOSS ERP system.
- Review job requirements, drawings, routings, quantities, due dates, and material requirements to ensure jobs are complete and ready for production.
- Release and maintain production jobs within JobBOSS.
- Create purchase orders for raw materials, purchased components, outside processing, tooling, and other production-related requirements.
- Order materials and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor open purchase orders, material availability, and supplier lead times.
- Follow up with vendors regarding pricing, availability, order status, and delivery dates.
- Coordinate with production to ensure materials and job requirements are available when needed.
- Identify potential material shortages, purchasing issues, or delays that could affect production schedules.
- Work closely with estimating, engineering, production, quality, and sales to resolve job-related questions and ensure a smooth transition into production.
- Maintain accurate job, purchasing, and vendor information within JobBOSS.
- Assist with production scheduling and prioritization based on customer due dates, material availability, and shop capacity.
- Review upcoming jobs to ensure all necessary materials, components, and outside services have been ordered.
- Maintain strong relationships with material and outside-service suppliers.
- Assist in developing and maintaining approved supplier relationships.
- Track material costs, lead times, and purchasing information to support accurate job costing and future estimating.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve production flow, material availability, purchasing efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of manufacturing, production planning, purchasing, job coordination, CNC machining, or related manufacturing experience.
- Experience working with an ERP or MRP system; JobBOSS experience is a strong plus.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to understand manufacturing processes, job routings, materials, and production requirements.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple jobs, purchase orders, vendors, and deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify issues before they impact production.
- Ability to work effectively with production employees, management, customers, and outside suppliers.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience with JobBOSS or another manufacturing ERP/MRP system.
- Purchasing or material planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in a precision machining or job shop environment.
- Familiarity with CNC machining, fabrication, or other manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, job travelers, bills of material, or manufacturing documentation.
- Experience coordinating outside processing such as heat treating, plating, grinding, or other secondary operations.

Schedule
Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, with flexibility and summer hours.
