Title: P.M. Dishwasher

Salary: $15.40 hourly
Reports to: Executive Chef Director of Dining
Job Summary:

Under the general direction of the Assistant Director and Director of Dining Services.

Is responsible for assisting in the performance of a variety of food service and sanitization tasks. Performs related work as required.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensures proper cleaning and sanitizing of dishes and always follows proper procedures.

Restocks dishes and silverware, stocks paper towels, hand soap and hand sanitizer.

Maintains clean equipment and work area; sanitizes dish machine and dish carts; maintains proper temperatures on dish machine; reports all malfunctions and problems to the Assistant Director.

Oversees, trains, and assists student workers.

Help prep for cooks, pantry, or pastry chef when time allows.

AM dishwasher cleans women’s locker room and restroom, restocking toiletries, and washes aprons and dishrags in the morning.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Food production and serving methods and procedures; basic elements of correct English usage, spelling, vocabulary; basic mathematics.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires multi-tasking and working in multiple areas at once.

Food production and serving; following and giving oral and written instructions; maintaining records; reading and writing at the level required for successful job performance; learning rules, methods, and policies of the workplace; spelling correctly, using correct English; making simple mathematical calculations; lifting up to 50 lbs.; and standing for an extended period of time.
Credentials and Experience:

High school graduate; and
-
Six months' experience in the food service industry including food production.
Required Work hours:
PM Dishwasher:
- Tuesday thru Friday 11AM-8PM
- Every other weekend, Saturday, and Sunday 6:00AM-3:00PM
- Full-time 9-month position: overtime required for special events.
