American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a Medical-Surgical unit at an acute care teaching hospital in Rochester, NY, requiring an active NY LPN license and Epic experience for night shift coverage.

Work in a 528-bed acute care Magnet-recognized teaching hospital in Rochester, NY, affiliated with Cleveland Clinic and Roswell Park
-
Medical-Surgical unit serving a complex care population including medicine, ortho overflow, and complex long-term patients
-
Patient ratio of 1:5–6, with LPN working under the support of an RN
-
Skilled procedures include blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, and IV start/maintenance
-
Respiratory skills include High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, and trach care/management
-
Additional clinical skills include feeding tube care/management, heparin protocols, pacemaker care (temp/perm), telemetry unit monitoring, wound care/wound vac, surgical drains, and use of rapid response/code teams

Experience with MS/Tele, ortho trauma, total joint replacements, and isolation precautions required

Night shift schedule: 7p–7a (3x12-hour shifts)

Every other weekend required

Every other holiday coverage required, if needed

Floating within skillset required
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
13-week contract
-
Active New York single-state LPN license required at start of assignment (NY is not a Compact state)

Minimum 1 year of LPN experience required
-
Acute care experience within the last 2 years required
-
Current BLS certification required
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Availability for night shifts, every other weekend, and every other holiday as needed

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

License required if applicable
