Traveling Medical Assistant – Neurology
Texas Institute for Neurological Disorders is seeking an experienced Traveling Medical Assistant to support our growing Neurology team.
This position will support clinical operations at both our Arlington and Grapevine locations:

At TIND, Medical Assistants play an essential role in delivering high-quality neurological care to our patients. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position that supports provider workflow, patient care, clinical documentation, and in-office procedures. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, efficient, and comfortable working in a busy specialty practice environment.

Position Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience
- Neurology experience preferred
- Strong typing skills and general computer proficiency
- Ability to quickly learn computer-based medical systems, protocols, and workflows
- EMR experience preferred; eClinicalWorks experience is a plus
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team

Duties and Responsibilities
- Travel weekly between the Arlington and Grapevine offices
- Support provider workflow and coordinate with front office staff to ensure smooth patient transitions
- Prepare exam rooms, instruments, and patients for clinical visits and procedures
- Assist with neurology-related procedures, including but not limited to DBS checks, nerve blocks, and Botox injections
- Accurately document patient medical history, medications, allergies, vital signs, and visit-specific information in the electronic health record
- Verify patient identity and complete intake/check-in clinical procedures
- Follow sterile technique and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant clinical workspace
- Assist with patient care paperwork, including prior authorizations, disability/FMLA forms, and patient communications
- Manage and close telephone encounters by end of business day
- Communicate effectively with providers, patients, and team members to support high-quality patient care
