Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Term One Theory-Clinical Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and training vocational nursing (LVN/LPN) students in classroom, lab, and clinical settings under the direction and supervision of the Lead Instructor, Academic/Clinical Supervisor, Assistant Director of Nursing, and/or Director of Nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate expertise in nursing content areas and course material.
- Supervise and evaluate students in classroom, lab, and clinical settings.
- Develop and maintain instructional materials, including modules, tests, and audiovisual aids.
- Plan and organize clinical learning experiences, ensuring effective achievement of student learning objectives.
- Maintain records of student grades, attendance, and performance.
- Attend faculty meetings and participate in peer reviews.
- Adhere to professional standards and regulations set by the Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technicians.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Associate degree or above preferred (required if below an Associate Degree).
- Valid California Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse license.
- Experience in geriatric care, long-term care, or care of the chronically ill.
- Two or more years of experience in direct patient care.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.

- Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.
Dress Code:
- Professional business-casual attire with a lab coat in the classroom and clinical settings. Scrubs or uniforms with a white lab coat are also acceptable.
