American Traveler is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a general sonography position, requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and a weekend-only schedule.

General ultrasound/sonography unit within an acute care hospital setting
-
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday schedule (weekend-only)

3x12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
-
No on-call requirements

Floating within the facility within scope of practice may be required

12-week contract

Minimum of 3 years of ultrasound/sonography experience

Active professional licensure required, if applicable

Copies of all relevant certifications required for consideration

Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) are highly preferred; charge nurse references are not accepted

First-time travelers are accepted for this position

Local candidates are accepted

RTO is capped at 7 days and cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment

If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work those holidays and no holiday RTO will be approved; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler must be available for two and may request one holiday off for approval

Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a full year before returning as a traveler

No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests are permitted — the posted shift is firm

Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed on time to avoid a two-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
