Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Litigation Personal Injury Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of personal injury law and will be responsible for supporting attorneys in the preparation and management of cases. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with case preparation, including gathering evidence and documentation related to personal injury claims.
- File legal documents with courts and maintain organized case files using iManage and other document management systems.
- Conduct legal research utilizing Lexis-Nexis to support case strategies and arguments.
- Draft and transcribe legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and correspondence.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information pertinent to cases.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Workers Compensation law and relevant regulations.
- Organize case files, ensuring all documents are accurate and accessible for attorney review.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all deadlines are met efficiently.
Skills
- Strong understanding of personal injury law, including Workers Compensation law.
- Proficiency in using Lexis-Nexis for legal research purposes.
- Excellent administrative skills with a focus on organization and detail-oriented work.
- Ability to write clearly and concisely while transcribing complex legal information accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and team members.
- Bilingual English and Spanish.
