Position: Tire and Lube Technician
Job Overview:As a Tire and Lube Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of vehicles at our service center. You will be responsible for conducting digital multi-point inspections, performing tire and lube services, assisting other technicians, and maintaining a clean and organized shop environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform digital multi-point inspections on customer vehicles to identify any potential issues and recommend necessary maintenance or repairs.
- Carry out tire rotations, replacements, and repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety for our customers' vehicles.
- Conduct oil changes, fluid checks, and other routine lube services to maintain the longevity of our customers' cars.
- Assist other technicians with complex repairs or tasks when required, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop area to promote a safe and efficient workspace.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained for future use.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies, trends, and best practices to continuously improve your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Tire and Lube Technician or similar automotive maintenance role.
- Proficiency in conducting digital multi-point inspections using modern diagnostic tools.
- Solid understanding of tire services, including rotations, replacements, and repairs.
- Familiarity with performing oil changes, fluid checks, and routine lube services.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to assist and support other technicians.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications or other relevant certifications.
- Previous experience using automotive shop management software.
