Phoenix, AZ · $35–$41 per hour (based on experience) · Full-time · In person
At Black Label Steel, we don't just erect steel! We set the standard for how it's done. Fourteen years in, owner-led with 30+ years of hands-on field experience, we build commercial structural steel across Arizona with one rule: on time, on budget, zero surprises.
We're looking for a Field Foreman who leads from the front. Someone who runs a crew, owns the outcome, and makes the jobsite better every day they're on it. If you take pride in running clean, safe, productive work, and you want a company that backs its leaders — keep reading.
Why You'll Want This Job
- You'll actually lead. We run on Extreme Ownership and Decentralized Command. Foremen make the call in the field — we back your judgment and give you the tools to win.
- Owner-led. You'll work directly with leadership that came up through the field and still knows the work.
- Real growth. Sharpen your crew, your skills, and your leadership. We invest in people who take ownership.
- A culture that means it. Balance, Loyalty, Accountability, Commitment, Knowledge. It's on our walls because we live it.
Your Mission
Run the field. You'll direct the crew, set the daily plan, keep the job safe and moving, and be the connection between the shop, the office, the GC, and the crew in the field. When conditions change — weather, sequence, a curveball from the site — you adapt and keep production going.
What You'll Do
- Direct daily field work, manpower, equipment, and jobsite priorities.
- Own safety on your site — correct unsafe behavior immediately and lead by example on PPE, fall protection, and hot work.
- Coordinate daily with leadership, general contractors, and your crew on needs, obstacles, and schedule.
- Track progress, schedule risks, and material needs before they become problems.
- Train, coach, and hold your crew accountable to Black Label standards.
- Manage and report field hours accurately.
- Work with the COO on accountability and people issues, and with the Safety Manager on tool checklists, inspections, and documentation.
What You Bring
- Field leadership experience in structural steel erection or related construction (required).
- Strong understanding of erection, rigging, hoisting, and reading erection drawings.
- The ability to run a crew — direct, coach, resolve conflict, and get the work done safely and on time.
- OSHA and equipment certifications (required).
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Extreme ownership. No excuses, no blaming — you own the problem and the solution.
A Plus (Not Required)
- AWS D1.1 certification.
- Crane / rigging certifications.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proven history of stable, reliable work.
Pay & Benefits
- $35–$41 per hour, based on experience.

- Simple IRA with 3% company match (paid weekly).
- Paid Time Off.
