The Material Handler Position will support Shipping, Receiving & Production. The position in Mequon, WI is responsible for supporting the efficient flow of materials across receiving, warehousing, shipping, and production operations. This role includes receiving and storing inbound materials, supporting production material needs, preparing outbound shipments, executing accurate WMS/ERP transactions, and maintaining a safe, organized warehouse environment. Material Handler Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store inbound raw materials and supplies
- Perform bulk offloads safely and efficiently
- Execute WMS and ERP transactions accurately for receipts, transfers, and inventory movements
- Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards
- Stage and deliver materials to support daily production needs
- Return unused materials to inventory and ensure accurate system transactions
- Communicate material shortages or discrepancies to supervisors and production teams
- Pick, stage, and prepare outbound shipments according to customer and shipping requirements
- Load trucks using forklifts or other material-handling equipment
- Ensure shipping documentation and system transactions are accurate and complete
- Perform cycle counts and support inventory accuracy initiatives
- Utilize RF scanners and barcode systems
- Support basic WMS maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts
- Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely
- Communicate clearly and professionally across departments
- Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
Requirements for Material Handler:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- WMS or ERP system experience preferred
- Forklift experience and/or certification preferred
- Previous experience in chemical, food, or industrial manufacturing or warehousing environments preferred
- Familiarity with scanning and barcode technology
- Clear cross-functional communication skills
- Ability to communicate in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, positive attitude, and team-centered mentality
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
