Now Seeking: Location Manager and Assistant Location Manager
Smyles Entertainment is expanding its presence to the Midwest and we are looking to connect with experienced location professionals who are passionate about what they do.
We are actively seeking a Location Manager and an Assistant Location Manager to collaborate with us on our Sunday production events. As we establish our footprint in the Midwest, we are building a team of passionate professionals who believe in what we are creating here. Our current collaborations are offered on a trade and exposure basis, with the full intention of transitioning into paid partnerships as Smyles Entertainment grows within this market.
This is a unique opportunity to align yourself with a team that brings real Hollywood infrastructure to the Midwest and is committed to building something meaningful right here in Hamilton County.

Responsibilities:
Location Manager
- Scout and identify suitable locations for production events
- Negotiate and secure location agreements
- Obtain all necessary permits and releases
- Manage relationships between production and property owners
- Oversee location budget and expenses
- Ensure locations meet all safety and production requirements
- Coordinate with department heads on location needs
- Supervise strike and restoration of all locations after use
Location Manager Skills
- Location scouting and assessment
- Permit acquisition and legal compliance
- Contract and agreement negotiation
- Budget management and cost tracking
- Production scheduling and coordination
- Vendor and property owner relations
- Risk assessment and safety planning
- Clear and professional communication
- Time management and multitasking
- Problem solving under pressure
- Photography and documentation of locations
- Knowledge of local geography and infrastructure
Location Manager Qualifications
- Based in Hamilton County or immediate surrounding areas including Boone, Madison, Tipton, or Hendricks County
- Must be available to attend in person meetings in Hamilton County as needed
- Experience working within the entertainment industry is required
- Some direct location experience is required
- Strong knowledge of Hamilton County, Indianapolis, and surrounding areas
- Familiar with Indiana film permit processes and local ordinances
- Established or developing relationships with local property owners, businesses, and municipalities
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to think on their feet
