As Executive Chef, you'll oversee the daily culinary operations while creating an exceptional dining experience for our residents by:
Leading all kitchen operations, including food preparation, production, plating, and service.
Designing and preparing creative, restaurant-quality menus for daily dining and special events.
Partnering with the Director of Culinary & Hospitality to manage food costs, labor, inventory, and departmental budgets.
Training, coaching, and mentoring kitchen team members while fostering a positive, high-performing culture.
Conducting daily pre-shift meetings and ensuring smooth kitchen operations during service.
Maintaining high standards for food quality, presentation, consistency, and guest satisfaction.
Ensuring compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
Managing purchasing, inventory levels, and kitchen organization.
Collaborating with community leadership to plan and execute special events, celebrations, and marketing functions.
Preparing meals that accommodate residents' special dietary needs, preferences, and physician-ordered restrictions.
Culinary Arts degree with at least 2 years of culinary leadership experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 3 years of leadership experience in a food service environment.
Previous experience as an Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, or Culinary Director preferred.
Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
Experience managing food costs, inventory, purchasing, and kitchen operations.
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
Senior living, hospitality, country club, hotel, healthcare, or upscale restaurant experience is a plus.
