BOLI, Wage and Hour Division is recruiting for two permanent, fulltime Public Service Representative 4 (PSR4). This position plays a key role in supporting the Division’s mission to enforce Oregon’s wage and hour laws and protect the rights of workers statewide.
The Public Service Representative 4 (PSR4) performs advanced problem solving and case work requiring independent judgment, research, analysis, and negotiation, serving as a liaison between the public and the agency to clarify issues, resolve disputes, and ensure fair application of wage and hour laws. Duties include researching agency records, interpreting statutes, rules, and policies for case inquiries, determining jurisdiction, and providing information and assistance to employers, employees, and the public by explaining laws and procedures by phone, in writing, and in person. The role prepares clear responses, routes inquiries appropriately, maintains accurate records of contact, and participates in ongoing training to stay current on changes in laws, rules, and program requirements.
