American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and active Ohio or Compact licensure for a 13-week night shift assignment.

Adult Med/Surg unit in an acute care hospital setting

Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
-
13-week contract

Active OH or Compact RN license, currently in hand

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Required certifications: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS

Completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN)

Ability to perform heavy-duty physical work, including exerting 50–100 lbs of force occasionally and frequent patient handling

Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills required
-
Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care using the nursing process

Administers medications and performs treatments, implements physician orders, and documents nursing care thoroughly and accurately

Responsible for directing and delegating tasks to nursing assistants (NAs) as appropriate
-
Must be able to manage urgent and high-stress situations calmly and communicate empathically with patients and families
