Position Title: Financial Operations Associate
Location: Nashua NH
Reporting to: Managing Director - Finance
POSITION SUMMARY
The Financial Operations Associate plays a critical function within the FinOps team, supporting operational workflows across multiple stakeholders. This role is responsible for taking ownership of key processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
The position involves both independent execution and collaboration with team members who oversee broader workflows.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Payables & Other Transactions
- Own complex payables processes with vendors including the external legal, accounting, & entity management firms on our platform
- Track entity status and cancel unused LLC’s & DST’s
- Manage various investment transactions including distributions and reporting
Tax & Compliance
- Partner with external tax firm to research, email, respond to, and resolve tax notices
- Complete routine and ad hoc lender reporting and third-party requests
- Support Investor Services team with Blue Sky requirements
Treasury & Banking
- Work with bank relationship team to open and manage all accounts, including KYC reporting
- Maintain authorized users with appropriate permissions
- Download, save and circulate monthly bank statements
- Support Positive Pay processes
SUPPORTED RESPONSIBILITES
- Assist with yearly grantor letter preparation and distribution
- Help coordinate 1099/1098 reporting amongst the FinOps & PM Finance teams
- Organize details and book internal 1031 exchange entries as transactions arise
PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- College degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Applied work experience within financial operations and/or accounting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize between deadlines
- Familiarity with tax compliance processes
- Exposure to treasury or banking operations
