POSITION TITLE: Houseman
REPORTS TO: Housekeeping Supervisor / General Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
Creates a clean and orderly environment for the guests that will become a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening the hotel's reputation. Houseman attends to the facilities with integrity and attention to detail. Responsible for ensuring all rooms are cared for and according to standards, while working with other departments to improve guest satisfaction.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Clean common areas of the hotel including the front entrance, lobby, public restrooms, elevators, guests hallways, employee break room, etc.
2. Washing and folding bedding, linens, and towels as needed.
3. Dusting furniture or fixtures, and polishing them.
4. Make beds and change linens if needed.
5. Take out all trash and waste in guest rooms prior to cleaning by the housekeeper.
6. Vacuuming all carpets in hallways and common areas.
7. Sanitizing toilets, countertops, and sinks in common areas.
8. Reporting breakages, damages, and safety issues for repairs to the housekeeping supervisor.
9. Wash windows as scheduled.
10. Look out for items guests left behind and report it to the lost and found at the front desk.
11. Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies.
12. Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
13. Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace them when appropriate.
14. Responsible for executing any reasonable task requested by the housekeeping supervisor.
15. Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices.
16. Promote the hotel by demonstrating a high level of professionalism and positive attitude to serve our guests.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
