Position Overview:
We are currently hiring responsible and professional drivers who use their own vehicles to transport members to and from medical appointments. Drivers play a vital role in ensuring our members receive dependable transportation and excellent customer service.
Driver Responsibilities:
Route Preparation & Confirmation:
- Drivers will receive their assigned route the night before.
- Drivers are required to contact each assigned member to confirm the next day’s appointment.
- If the member does not answer the call, drivers must send a text message introducing themselves as the driver for the upcoming medical appointment.
- This process helps reduce cancellations and ensures members are prepared and waiting at pickup time.
Transportation Duties:
- Safely transport members to and from medical appointments.
- Arrive on time and maintain a professional and courteous attitude.
- Assist members as needed with entering and exiting the vehicle (non-medical assistance only).
- Maintain a clean, well-kept vehicle.
Will Calls:
- Drivers are required to assist throughout the day with “will calls.”
- A will call occurs when a member contacts us and is ready to be picked up and taken home.
- Our dispatch team activates the will call and assigns it to the closest available driver.
- Drivers must remain responsive and available for these trips during working hours.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Valid personal auto insurance
- Reliable, well-maintained personal vehicle
- Smartphone for communication and dispatch updates
- Professional, punctual, and dependable
