BASIC FUNCTION
Position assists individual large projects and portfolio projects according to site's goals and objectives.
The CAD Specialist reports directly to the Site Documentation Control Lead.
Associate degree in Drafting & Design Technology
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in working with CAD on P&IDs, Electrical, Instrumentation, Loop drawings, and Projects.
Intermediate level in MS Excel, MS Word, Meridian and data entry
Drafting ability requires multiple disciplines:
· Process piping (P&IDs, ISOs, PFDs, and more)
· Electrical
· Instrumentation
· Civil / structural
Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail
The responsibility of the CAD Specialist consists of:
1. Perform work activities efficiently while continuously looking for time-saving opportunities
2. Knowledgeable of the site’s document control systems, drafting standards, and procedures
3. Maintain electronic data management system utilizing site’s databases
4. Receive, track, and monitor documents from EPCs
5. Issue documents to the project team and appropriate personnel
6. Enter data, produce logs and transmittals, and create other reports as required
7. Review and analyze drawings in order to verify adherence to established specifications and standards
8. Coordinate and consult with engineers and designers to complete projects
9. Provide assistance with electronic filing and information requests
10. Maintain records and logs of drawing updates, distributions, and removals
11. Assist with the request of authorized users to retrieve or drawing documents
12. Help maintain the security and integrity of the document system

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
