Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator/Truck Driver to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of construction machinery and commercial trucks to support excavation, grading, paving, utility work, and site development projects. Your expertise will ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites while maintaining a strong focus on safety and equipment reliability.
Duties
- Operate heavy construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, backhoes, water trucks, and horizontal drilling machinery to perform excavation, grading, paving, and utility installation tasks.
- Safely operate commercial trucks including dump trucks, tankers, and water trucks for transporting materials and equipment across job sites.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety procedures.
- Assist with construction utility work by locating underground utilities using specialized equipment and following federal safety regulations.
- Follow all equipment safety procedures and safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members.
- Support construction site activities by performing grading operations, site preparation, and utility installation under supervision.
- Collaborate with project managers and crew members to coordinate equipment use and ensure timely project completion.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators (including horizontal drilling), dozers (Caterpillar preferred), graders, loaders, backhoes, water trucks, and dump trucks.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record for operating commercial trucks safely.
- Knowledge of construction utility work including utility locating procedures in compliance with federal safety standards.
- Mechanical knowledge for routine maintenance and troubleshooting of construction equipment.
- Strong understanding of construction safety regulations including OSHA standards and equipment safety procedures.
- Construction site experience with familiarity in excavation, paving, grading, and utility installation projects.
- Ability to operate specialized equipment such as , loaders, excavators dozers and heavy trucks.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and following project instructions.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working in outdoor environments under various weather conditions.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
