Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Skilled Construction Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively to perform tasks such as framing, roofing, concrete finishing, and masonry
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to interpret project requirements accurately
- Perform demolition, restoration, or renovation work as needed with precision and attention to detail
- Install various building components including doors, windows, cabinets, flooring, tile, stucco, and drywall
- Conduct inspections on construction sites to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications
- Support specialized tasks such as plumbing installation, electrical wiring, welding, fabrication, or glass installation based on skill set
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for accurate project execution
- Hands-on experience with construction management principles and estimating processes
- Strong knowledge of construction inspection procedures to maintain quality control
- Skilled in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or excavators when required
- Expertise in various trades including carpentry (frame, trim carpentry), roofing, masonry, plastering, caulking, restoration and hardscape work
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely while maintaining productivity
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Experience with construction painting, concrete forming & finishing, tile laying, welding or other specialized skills is a plus
