We are a growing e-commerce company based in Santa Ana, California. We sell consumer products online and are looking to better understand opportunities in the German and broader European markets, including Amazon Germany, Amazon EU marketplaces, and offline retail channels.
We are seeking a part-time remote Market Research Analyst with strong German language skills and firsthand familiarity with German consumer culture, retail habits, and online shopping behavior.
Responsibilities
- Research products, competitors, pricing, and customer trends on Amazon Germany and other Amazon EU marketplaces
- Review German-language product listings, customer reviews, and competitor positioning
- Summarize German customer feedback and explain key consumer preferences
- Research offline retail trends, product availability, and merchandising practices in Germany and Europe
- Compare U.S. and German/EU market differences
- Identify product opportunities, packaging insights, keyword trends, and potential market gaps
Qualifications
- Recent Graduate from a U.S. college or university
- Strong understanding of German consumer culture, shopping behavior, and retail expectations
- Native-level or professional fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
- Strong internet research skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Able to summarize findings clearly in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Amazon.de or other Amazon EU marketplaces
- Familiarity with German retail stores, e-commerce platforms, or consumer product categories
- Coursework or experience in Marketing, Business, Economics, International Business, Data Analysis, or a related field
- Experience with Excel, Google Sheets, or basic market research reporting
