Responsibilities
- Operate skid steer loaders with precision, ensuring safe handling of materials and debris on construction sites
- Operate skid steer loader on jobsites including grading and backfilling
- Assist with excavation, grading, loading, and material transport using heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and dump trucks
- Support site preparation activities including site clearing, leveling, and trenching tasks
- Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members
- Collaborate with other construction personnel to coordinate tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and work performed for project documentation
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating skid steer loaders in a construction setting with a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation
- Mechanical knowledge of construction machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, horizontal drilling rigs, tankers, and paving equipment
- Must have a Valid Class A CDL
- Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety standards and site protocols
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of Caterpillar (CAT) machinery or similar brands is preferred but not required
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse crews
