After-Hours Kennel Assistant
Evenings / Weekends
Thursdays and Fridays from 4pm-8pm and Saturdays from 8am-12pm
Are you someone who takes pride in keeping things clean, organized, and running smoothly? Do you enjoy working around animals and being part of a supportive veterinary team? We are looking for a dependable, hardworking After-Hours Kennel Assistant to help care for our hospital and patients after regular business hours.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys behind-the-scenes support, staying busy, and helping create a clean and comfortable environment for both pets and team members.
Responsibilities:
- Deep cleaning and disinfecting kennels, treatment areas, and hospital spaces
- Laundry, dishes, trash removal, and general hospital upkeep
- Restocking supplies throughout the hospital
- Assisting with basic animal care including:
- Walking dogs
- Feeding pets
- Refreshing water bowls and bedding
- Monitoring patient comfort and cleanliness
- Helping maintain organization and cleanliness for the next day’s team
- Reporting any patient concerns to medical staff
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Is reliable and self-motivated
- Works well independently
- Is comfortable around dogs and cats of all sizes
- Has strong attention to detail
- Can handle physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing, and cleaning
- Takes pride in creating a clean and organized environment
- Has evening/weekend availability
Veterinary or animal experience is a plus, but not required.
