Performs advanced professional work managing the full lifecycle of grants, including research, application development, award administration, financial oversight, compliance, and reporting. Identifies and evaluates funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities and collaborates with internal departments and external partners to develop competitive grant applications. Oversees grant budgets, expenditures, and financial reporting to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and grantor requirements. Monitors awarded grants to ensure adherence to legal, fiscal, and programmatic standards, and supports audits and reviews. Provides technical guidance on grant processes, compliance requirements, and best practices to staff and stakeholders. Serves as a liaison with funding agencies, government entities, and community partners to support successful grant-funded initiatives.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Ensure compliance with all applicable grant requirements, including federal, state, local, and organizational regulations, as well as grantor terms and conditions

Maintain accurate records and tracking systems for all County-wide grant activities, expenditures, and performance metrics to support audits and reporting
-
Provide guidance and training to staff on grant processes, compliance requirements, and best practices
-
Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Finance, Budget, Procurement, Legal) and external stakeholders to support grant development and administration of grant programs
-
Research, identify, and evaluate grant opportunities from federal, state, local, and private funding sources aligned with organizational priorities.

Coordinate and assist County divisions with the submission of competitive grant applications, including providing technical assistance to departments as needed
-
Assist with the administration of the full lifecycle of grant awards, including implementation, monitoring, and closeout activities
-
Develop, monitor, and reconcile grant budgets; track expenditures; and recommend budget adjustments to ensure fiscal integrity and compliance
-
Assist in preparations review, and submissions of required financial and programmatic reports to funding agencies in accordance with established deadlines
-
Analyze financial data, spending trends, and program outcomes to support forecasting, decision-making, and efficient use of funds
-
Support procurement activities related to grant-funded projects in accordance with applicable policies and approved budgets
-
Monitor grant-funded projects to ensure alignment with program goals, timelines, and funding requirements
-
Serve as a liaison with funding agencies, community partners, and other stakeholders; represent the organization in meetings and related activities
-
Assist with audits, monitoring reviews, and site visits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
-
Provide technical direction, training and centralized oversight with Grant Management systems and grant portals
