Responsibilities
- Deliver expert hair styling services including cutting, coloring, hair extensions, and hair threading to meet client preferences and enhance their confidence.
- Perform specialized treatments such as eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application to provide comprehensive beauty solutions.
- Manage appointment scheduling and client check-ins using salon management software like MINDBODY to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Assist clients with retail product recommendations and upselling opportunities related to hair care, skincare, and beauty products.
- Maintain salon cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, addressing inquiries promptly, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere at the front desk.
- Mentor junior team members in hair styling techniques, sanitation practices, and customer service excellence to promote team growth and skill development.
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience in hair styling, coloring, and treatments such as straight razor shaves or hair extensions.
- Proficiency in salon software systems like MINDBODY for scheduling and client management.
- Strong knowledge of color theory, sanitation standards, and retail sales techniques to enhance client satisfaction and business growth.
- Experience with eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with clients and team members while demonstrating professionalism.
- Ability to multitask efficiently at the front desk while maintaining attention to detail during styling services.
- A proactive attitude towards store management tasks including inventory oversight and mentoring team members.
