Deerwood Dental Group is a female owned dental practice on the Southside of Jacksonville. We are a true family dental practice with a long-standing team of dental professionals. We have a rare opening for a Dental Assistant to work in our close knit family environment 4 days per week.
Responsibilities:
· Assist the dentist during dental procedures
· Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
· Take digital dental x-rays
· Perform dental charting and documentation
· Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
· Maintain infection control protocols and ensure aseptic technique is followed
· Assist with dental lab tasks such as pouring impressions and trimming models
Manage inventory of dental supplies
Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience
· Radiation certification
· Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and oral health procedures
· Proficiency with Eaglesoft
· Proficiency in medical documentation, medical imaging, and dental coding
· Familiarity with dental codes and procedures
· Experience with Eaglesoft dental software
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to work well in a team environment
· BLS certification
- 2 years or more of experience in a dental office
